ABOUT THE BOOK
Elves have always considered humans to be a threat to their abilities and civilization.

That’s why Lady Helena of the Court of Phantasm, has ordered three of her trusted elves to enter the human realm and discover the truth. Leaving their realm of Veayneri, they’ll use their ability to cast illusions and disguise themselves as humans to gain the answers they’re looking for.

Stella Riverstone, is a twenty-eight year old woman who finds herself in a cafe meeting a grumpy gentleman named Blaise, whom she anxiously requests to work for. Uncertain as to why Blaise took such an interest in her, she hesitantly agrees to celebrate the Halloween season together and even help bake for a party Blaise insists they host.

When Stella pushes through her writhing anxiety and confesses her feelings to Blaise, she faces his harsh rejection. She struggles to comprehend it all because it seemed like he wanted her as much as she did him.

Elven and human relationships are forbidden. Blaise’s past once taught him the consequences of that. Of a life lost; but not an elves. With the laws now changed, it is a “cruel fate,” as Lady Helena would say.

To be caught in love with a human, is to be sentenced to a life in prison until the human they love passes on.
